Gwenllian Anthony, Hollie Singer and Heledd Owen are three girls from Carmarthen who play and sing in Welsh with a strong personality and vibe. Their band is called Adwaith and they made themselves known in Wales and elsewhere in the United Kingdom with their debut single ‘Pwysau’, released one year ago. Since then, the band has played in many concerts, festivals, TV and radio broadcasts and have shared the stage with Gwenno, Serol Serol and Patricia Morgan from Datblygu. Adwaith’s music is a blend of post-punk, pop and folk inspiration, with simple structures enriched by the intricate work of guitars and with slanting melodies filled with soul vibes and clearly powerful voices. Another proof of the vibrancy of the Welsh contemporary music production.
