Talk with the Aranese singer-songwriter Alidé Sans.
Aran is a unique microcosm, a Pyrenean valley in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia where the langue d’òc is spoken. Exceptional ambassador of these places is the young activist and singer-songwriter Alidé Sans, whose songs in Aranese Occitan – backed by the rhythms of pop-rock, reggae and popular music – address universal themes with a strong focus on social issues. She has published 2 albums, performed over 200 concerts and has several international collaborations to her credit. With her indomitable, sunny energy, Alidé tells the story of her homeland with words, music and a language full of life.
