Call for artists: Suns Europe is looking for musicians for its next edition

UDINE – There is time until 30 April 2024 to apply for Suns Europe, the European festival of performing arts in minoritized languages organized by Cooperativa Informazione Friulana, editor of Radio Onde Furlane, with the financial support of the Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, ARLeF – Regional Agency for Friulian language, and other public and private bodies at a local and international level. The festival, which has now arrived at its 10th edition, will take place in October in Udine and other locations in Friuli.


INNOVATIVE PRODUCTIONS – The call for entries refers to the music section of the festival and is aimed at groups and singers-songwriters whose production is in one of the minority languages of the continent, as defined in Article 1 of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages. The aim of the festival is to give visibility to the most original and innovative productions.


THE SELECTION PROCESS – Applicants must fill in the online form available at by 30 April 2024 and send all the requested material. The selection, at the sole discretion of the organizing committee, will be carried out by 30 May 2024; participants will be notified by e-mail.


NEXT OCTOBER IN UDINE – The selected artists will be invited to perform their songs live on the final evening of the festival in Udine, in October 2024. The organizing committee will engage to give artists the opportunity to showcase their music production with other performances during the festival.
