Welcome party with the Suns Europe finalists and international dj set by millacu.

The event is open to arci members 2025/2026.

Performer, sound artist, dj. Together, we’ll explore how landscape and presence connect and/or collide, with music inspired by ordinary things as well as deep emotions and thoughts that go far beyond.

You’ll listen to a set that mixes ambient, folk, experimental, and choral — a synergy between slow rhythms and uptempo beats that reflects the variety of identities that come together for SUNS Europe. All beautiful, different, and free.

LANGUAGES: Friulian

SYNOPSIS AND GUESTS: In 1969, a group of Friulian boys in Lignano took part in a football tournament organised by the Archdiocese of Udine. They called themselves the “Tupamaros”, inspired by the revolutionary spirit of the times. The camp director, who was also the referee, warned them: “With that name, as long as I’m refereeing, you’ll never win a game!” But did things really turn out that way? This performance is based on the story from Paolo Patui’s collection “Volevamo essere i Tupamaros e altri racconti di pallone” (“We Wanted to Be the Tupamaros and Other Football Stories”), translated into Friulian and adapted by the author himself. The piece is performed by actor and playwright Massimo Somaglino, with live music by Alessio Zoratto on double bass and Marco D’Orlando on drums.

LANGUAGES: Friulian, Italian, English, Catalan, Ladin

SYNOPSIS: Artists and bands from various European minority communities meet high school students from Friuli for a lecture-concert dedicated to creativity, multilingual education and multicultural citizenship. This encounter offers students the chance to discover other European realities that, in many ways, mirror their own. A multi-voiced and multilingual dialogue on linguistic and cultural diversity, viewed as a value, a right and an opportunity.

GUESTS: The event will feature performances by No Good Meets Passion, an artistic collaboration merging the band’s fiery beats with the incisive words of a veteran of Friulian rap; Lia Sampai, one of the most inspiring voices in contemporary Catalan folk music; and Popcorner, who bring fresh energy to the Ladin pop scene. The morning will also include educational contributions from Cor van der Meer of the Mercator European Research Centre — a specialist in minority communities across Europe — alongside Marco Stolfo, researcher at the University of Udine, and other guest speakers.
