While string instrument virtuoso Mauro Palmas is an institution for the traditional music of the island, electronic composer Francesco Medda represents its most innovative side. Electro-acoustic soundscapes painted with extreme taste and painstaking attention to detail.
Franco Giordani
In spite of his distinctive low-profile, Franco Giordani is by now in his own right one of the most renowned and appreciated Friulian songwriters of the past decades. The stories of his native Valcellina are brought to life with a harsh, yet very sweet idiom in one of the most sonorously fascinating variants of the Friulian language. At SUNS Europe he will perform a handful of tracks from his latest album “Ressenal”.
