SYNOPSIS: Joseph is one of the last shepherds in the Corsican coastal region. His land becomes the target of a speculative real estate project led by local organised crime. After killing one of those who threatened him, Joseph is forced to flee, finding refuge in the island’s wild nature — while his granddaughter launches an online campaign to expose the injustice he faces. Blending the grit of a gangster movie with the atmosphere of a modern Western, Frédéric Farrucci’s “Il Mohicano” tackles contemporary social and political tensions with intensity and precision, offering a powerful portrait of Corsica’s raw beauty and its deep contradictions.
