DESCRIPTION: In the first half of the 20th century, a man devoted himself to planting trees in an arid and abandoned valley in Provence. Over time, he transformed the valley into a thriving ecosystem, full of plants, water, animals, and people. Jean Giono's visionary tale has never been more relevant than in the present age, when the effects of climate change are clearly evident. Translated into Friulian by Federico Rossi towards the end of the last century, the story has been brought to the stage by the actor, playwright and theatre director Massimo Somaglino. For this performance, he is joined by the talented musician Alessio Zoratto on the double bass.
