Suns Europe launches the new call for artists 2022

Fill in the online form by 31 July to participate

UDINE – The countdown to the new edition of Suns Europe has begun: the festival has opened its call for bands and solo artists whose artistic production is in one of Europe’s minority languages. Once again this year, the festival aims to highlight the best contemporary productions in minority languages, with the music section willing to give visibility to the most original and innovative entries. It’s to be noted that the 2022 edition of the festival will take place in two distinct times of the year: from 30 June to 15 July, a rich calendar of summer events is scheduled in Artegna, Moruzzo, Pozzuolo, Lavariano, Romans d’Isonzo, Cormons, Villalta, and Udine, whereas the main concert has been planned for late autumn and will take place in November.

All interested artists may apply by filling in the online form in the dedicated section of the festival’s official website (www.sunseurope.com/form-call-2022) no later than 31 July 2022. Only original compositions will be admitted and chosen at the sole discretion of the Suns Europe artistic board. The selected finalists will be invited to perform live in Udine during the final event of the festival, scheduled on 26 November 2022.

The festival, yearly organized by Cooperativa Informazione Friulana, publisher of Radio Onde Furlane, with the financial support of Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia and of ARLeF – Agjenzie Regjonâl pe Lenghe Furlane, with the collaboration of other local and international public and private bodies, has the merit of transforming Friuli into a crossroad of cultures and artists, by giving the right relevance to artistic productions of absolute quality which, all too often, struggle to reach the wider public.
